The NTDD81 series switches are suitable for circuits with an AC frequency of 50Hz, a rated voltage of 400 volts or below, and a rated current range from 16A-3150A. This product is intended for infrequent manual connection and disconnection of circuits. The 690V product is intended solely for electrical isolation.
Operating conditions :
Altitude not exceeding 2,000 meters
Ambient temperature range: -5°C to +40°C
Relative humidity not exceeding 95% Non-hazardous (non-explosive) atmosphere
Protected against rain and snow ingress
Note: If the product is expected to be used in ambient temperatures exceeding +40°C or below -5°C, the user should inform the manufacturer when placing the order.
Structural Features:
The switch employs an accelerated closing mechanism utilizing spring-stored energy for positional accuracy and rapid instantaneous release, coupled with a contact structure featuring parallel dual break points that simultaneously engage and disengage. This design significantly enhances both the electrical and mechanical performance of the switchThe switch's conductive components are housed within an insulating base made of glass fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester molding compound. Operation is performed via a manual handle, offering high dielectric strength, robust protection, and reliable operational safety.
Switches are available in 3-pole and 4-pole configurations (3-pole plus a disconnectable neutral pole).
The switch features a marking window on the front to indicate the contact's open or closed state. A rear observation window can be provided upon request, allowing direct viewing of the contact's status to ensure reliable and safe switch operation.
The operating handle can be mounted directly on the switch for operation (referred to as in-cabinet operation), or it can be operated outside the switch cabinet door via an extension shaft (referred to as out-of-cabinet operation), providing convenient operation.
Normally open and normally closed auxiliary contacts, along with dedicated mounting plates and front/rear panel wiring configurations, can be provided as needed to meet diverse user requirements.
When the switch is in the “0” position, the handle can be secured with two or three locks to prevent accidental operation.
Structure and Characteristics:
The switch features a housing manufactured from unsaturated polyester glass fiber reinforced molding compound (DMC). Its spring-energized rapid-action mechanism enables swift connection and disconnection of contacts. The contact structure comprises two parallel double-break contacts with separate contact surfaces, maintained under pressure by leaf springs. The switch automatically determines the limit positions for connection and disconnection, and provides clear indication of the moving contact's position.
