The Safety Guardian Behind the €6 Billion Order: Natus Electric and E.ON Jointly Build Germany's Energy Future

To ensure the smooth advancement of Germany's energy transition over the next decade and beyond, E.ON Group, a leading German energy giant, has launched an ambitious procurement program with a total value exceeding €6 billion! This program aims to sign long-term contracts with top-tier manufacturers in Germany and Europe to procure core components required for the expansion and modernization of power grid infrastructure, thereby laying a solid foundation for Germany's energy future.

PART 01 Heavy Investment in Procurement to Consolidate the Foundation of the Power Grid

This large-scale procurement covers key links in power grid upgrading, including:

  • Over 100,000 kilometers of medium and low-voltage cables,

  • Tens of thousands of digital local network stations,

  • More than 500 sets of medium-voltage circuit breaker systems for substations,

  • Approximately 29,000 power distribution transformers and power transformers

After integrating these core devices into Germany’s distribution network, E.ON will be able to efficiently connect more wind farms and solar power plants, significantly enhance the capacity to accommodate electric vehicle charging networks and heat pumps, and strongly support the development of emerging battery energy storage systems and data centers.

This program is of great significance. It not only effectively reduces the cost of energy transition through high procurement volume, process optimization, component standardization, and long-term contracts, but also provides strong guarantees for manufacturers (such as Natus Electric) to expand production and invest in new facilities by virtue of long-term and stable orders. Meanwhile, most components are produced locally in Germany and Europe, which strongly maintains the stability of the industrial chain and creates new job opportunities.

PART 02 Strength Demonstrated: Why Natus?

It is a matter of pride that Natu Electric stands prominently in this core supplier list that represents Europe's highest standards and strict requirements!
