Reliable medium-voltage distribution, low-voltage distribution and voltage stabilization for utility grids and public power infrastructure.
NATUS supports utility grid, substation, public utility and distribution network projects with cubicle-type gas-insulated switchgear (C-GIS), ring main units (RMUs), medium-voltage switchgear, GIS gas tank modules, Energon low-voltage switchgear and voltage stabilization products. The solution covers medium-voltage grid distribution and low-voltage distribution/voltage management, and is suitable for compact layouts, IEC-based project requirements, reliable operation and international delivery.

Urban substation expansion and distribution network retrofits often face limited on-site footprint; unreliable equipment leads to frequent faults and extended outages, impacting end-user service quality.
Some projects operate under harsh conditions including high temperature, high altitude, and intense solar radiation. Poor environmental adaptability accelerates equipment ageing and increases field maintenance workload. Some projects adopt container-type prefabricated cabins and must comply with diverse local power system standards.
Public utility infrastructure projects demand clear supply boundaries, complete certified documentation, FAT support, and predictable delivery schedules to avoid project delay risks.
Distribution transformer districts frequently suffer from voltage fluctuation and low voltage problems, which trigger end-user complaints and grid performance-index penalties. Utilities need harmonized MV/LV hardware for coordinated grid management.
Local system integrators seek qualified core switchgear modules for domestic assembly to reduce import costs and shorten local project lead times.

NATUS delivers a coordinated MV-LV solution tailored for utility-grid projects. Compact C-GIS and RMUs help resolve footprint constraints during substation and network retrofits. The product portfolio is engineered for harsh climates, lowering field maintenance burdens. We offer two cooperation modes: complete factory-assembled switchgear delivery, or certified GIS gas-tank core modules for local partners' on-site assembly to cut import costs and shorten lead times. Complementing medium-voltage hardware, Energon low-voltage switchgear and NTQS81 voltage stabilization products address distribution transformer district voltage-quality risks, helping utility operators mitigate end-user complaints and grid index penalty risks.
For international projects, we can supply complete certified technical documentation, FAT execution, export-grade packaging and full delivery coordination to reduce project-schedule-delay risks.

Ethiopia Power Grid Upgrade: C-GIS/GIS gas-tank modules and complete switchgear for grid strengthening, substation expansion and urban distribution renovation in compliance with IEC 62271 series requirements.
Dubai Haris Al Afaq: one set including seven units of 36 kV RMUs, 1250 A/630 A, 31.5 kA, for containerized public utility power generation facilities.
For projects requiring low-voltage distribution or voltage stabilization, NATUS can support with Energon low-voltage switchgear and NTQS81 voltage stabilization products as a coordinated low-voltage package.

Can NATUS support IEC 62271-based grid projects?
Yes. Our medium-voltage switchgear portfolio (C-GIS, RMUs, metal-clad switchgear, vacuum circuit-breakers and GIS gas-tank modules) can be type-tested in compliance with relevant parts of the IEC 62271 series (including IEC 62271-1, IEC 62271-100, IEC 62271-200). NATUS delivers corresponding IEC-compliant technical documentation, product-selection support and factory-acceptance-testing coordination for medium-voltage projects. Low-voltage products, including Energon low-voltage switchgear and NTQS81 voltage-stabilization products, follow applicable low-voltage standards and are outside the scope of IEC 62271.
Can the products be used in compact or containerized applications?
Yes. C-GIS, RMUs, GIS gas tank modules and Energon low-voltage switchgear are suitable for compact layouts and containerized power applications where space and reliability are important.
Can NATUS support local partners with core modules?
Yes. NATUS can supply GIS gas tank modules and related core components for partners that handle local assembly or market channels.
Can NATUS provide a combined MV + LV solution for utility grid projects?
Yes. NATUS can combine C-GIS, RMUs and medium-voltage switchgear on the MV side with Energon low-voltage switchgear and NTQS81 voltage stabilization products on the LV side. The scope can cover substation incoming/outgoing feeders, distribution transformer areas, low-voltage distribution and voltage management.
Can NATUS products cope with high-altitude, high-temperature and high-solar-radiation utility-grid sites?
Our C-GIS, RMU and low-voltage portfolio is designed for harsh-climate conditions. For sites over 1000 m altitude, we provide corresponding derating guidance upon request.
