In 1956, founder Matthias Natus wrote the first commercial registration application in a small garage in Trier. At the time, perhaps no one could have foreseen that this small engineering office would, seventy years later, become a family business with operations spanning the globe.
For seventy years, NATUS has remained focused on the medium- and low-voltage power distribution sector — from the first design drawings of electrical control systems to the world's first withdrawable low-voltage switchgear, NATUS has redefined the standards of safety and reliability in the language of technology.
In 2009, NATUS came to Changzhou, China, establishing its Asia-Pacific R&D and manufacturing base. In 2025, the NATUS Power Equipment Industrial Park, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion, was fully put into operation — not merely the completion of a production base, but a strategic fulcrum for NATUS's deep roots in China and its reach across the Asia-Pacific. From the banks of the Rhine to the Yangtze River Delta, NATUS's footsteps have never ceased.
